Welcome to our website. I am pleased to offer Tailwheel Endorsements in my beautiful, classic, 1948 Cessna 170. Do you have what it takes to fly a tailwheel airplane? Whilst certainly challenging, a tailwheel endorsement can bring a new and exciting dimension to your flying and make you a better pilot! We'll spend an interesting day or two, reviewing ground handling, taxi, normal take-offs and landings, crosswind take-offs and landings and short- and soft-field take-offs and landings. The course includes all pre- and post-flight briefings and will include a Flight Review (previously known as the Biennial Flight Review or BFR), if you so desire. We'll fly lots of take-offs and landings off grass and asphalt runways. Most pilots are proficient after five or six hours of dual instruction, though more instruction is available if required. The airplane is based at KPGD (Charlotte County) airport in beautiful Punta Gorda, located in Southwest Florida. To prevent excessive wear and tear on the airplane (and your instructor), this course is only offered once a week. Enroll now to reserve your spot!
